My Bio
I've been a soldier, ironworker, climbing and kayaking guide. My business is Kayak Lake Mead and that is reflected on Facebook and Youtube as kayaklakemead.

I take my pocket sized waterproof Olympus camera with me whenever I hike, paddle, or ride my mountain bike. I love being in nature everyday of my life.

I love adventure, I think, because it immerses me in nature.

I like creating whether it's helping to build a bridge, hand digging a well in the desert, building a cabin in the mountains, building a kayak in my shop, or playing around with GIMP on my computer.

I joined deviantArt to learn from and be inspired by artists.
  I've spent the last month training hard for sort of a two person team multi-sport endurance event, The Endeavor Team Challenge; long distance speed marches, obstacle courses, strength events, mountaineering, day and night land navigation, trail running, swimming, mountaineering, etc. As opposed to my usual abundance of cockiness, I had some trepidation going into this one. But, we did OK. I have some landscape photos that I'm happy with that I will post in the near future but first I feel compelled to catch up with my Watch List and also to thank those who have noticed, faved and/or commented on some of my previous submissions.  I got a b
